  I have worked with many vet clinics in Edmonton as I have been involved with animal rescue for about 8 years. Whitemud Crossing has been my favorite clinic since the first time I visited them. What stood out to me was Dr. Shilton's care for the animals, and his straightforward but kind nature. My dog Sonny had a badly infected hot spot behind one of his ears. He had to be sedated in order for the spot to be cleaned well as it was causing him pain. It took longer than anticipated for Sonny to wake up after being sedated. When we came in to see him, he was sleeping comfortably in a bed with a cat curled up next to him. Dr. Shilton ended up staying several hours late after sending his staff home to ensure that Sonny woke up safely and was fit to go home. This interaction will always stand out to me. He didn't ask a staff member to stay, he didn't risk Sonny's well being and send him home too early. He himself stayed late on a Sunday afternoon to take care of my pet. Since Sonny's visit we have encountered serious medical problems including pancreatitis and seizures in our animals. Dr. Shilton has always been honest and kind to us, and we could not be more appreciative of him and his staff. I have also found Whitemud Crossing to be much less expensive than the average vet, with a low exam fee and lots of alternative options.

  Wonderful compassionate staff. Highly recommended. I have a very scared dog, and she was treated so well. The hours are good too. After a few bad vet experiences, I was so relieved to find this clinic.

  I have taken numerous foster animals here for exams, shots, microchips, spay/neuter and the staff have always been compassionate, friendly and professional.

  My experience with this vet was great. Dr Shilton is a compassionate and knowledgeable veterinarian . My dog got neutered there , he was back to normal the same day. I really liked the facility and the staff
