- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪I switched from Intact insurance to Portage La Prairie Mutual Insurance Co and it was the worst mistake of my life. My coverage with Portage started in June and it is now October and their finance department has yet to fix the on going issue with what they would like to withdraw for a payment out of my bank account. This has forced me to miss time from work once a month having to go and pay my auto and home insurance directly to my broker, unwarranted NSF Fees and stop payment fees from my bank because they decided to take more than we agreed upon for a payment. Not to mention the frustration of having a new piece of mail show up every week with a new amount that they want to charge me for insurance. If only I could turn back time I would have never switched insurance companies!! For anyone considering Portage for and Insurance provider please don't make the same mistake I did.by Tamra PughJune 18, 2017
