  Just returned from another outstanding visit to the Ellerslie Pet Hospital. Dr. Kate Kewish, her husband and outstanding office manager Doug, plus all of the staff, ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS take great care of our dog Rudy (and us). Two minor issues for today's visit, but Kate takes the time to explain everything to us. For this we are are very grateful!!! We've lived in Canada & the USA with our dogs and, as such, have visited many vets over the years. We started going to Ellerslie Pet Hospital just after they opened and have never been disappointed. I highly recommend Ellerslie Pet Hospital!!!

  My Russian Blue cat Koschei needed sudden medical treatment and it was the weekend all the vets nearest to me were booked up. I called Ellerslie and they were able to get Koschei in right away and operate on her that afternoon. She had to stay overnight and they called me to let me know how she was and when I picked her up they explained how it all went and how to administer her follow up medications at home. The vet and staff were very friendly, professional and accommodating. I’m really glad I took my cat there, she is much better now. The cost was not the cheapest but still not the most expensive, it was worth it for the great work they do. I will take both my cats back to Ellerslie again for their check ups or anything else, they were wonderful.

  The most disgraceful excuse for a vet we have ever encountered. My husband took our dog in last Monday because he had become extremely lethargic over the weekend, the vet diagnosed heart failure and sent them home. Fast forward 1 week, our dog had declined rapidly, I took him back to the vet for 'observation' as they called it. I had to call twice to find out if they were doing anything and when I finally went to pick him up I was greeted by a vet telling me she thought they were just 'babysitting' our dog so didn't get around to seeing him until 5pm (I dropped him off at 8:30am). She noticed his gums were white (they were white the previous Monday already) and now she was telling me that he had been misdiagnosed and that if i didn't get him to Guardian for a blood transfusion immediately he would die. This has been the worst experience of my life, my family trusted the vet and they completely disappointed and almost cost my dog his life. 3 days later our dog is still in the hospital, thankfully stable but we will absolutely NEVER step foot back in this vet office other than to file a formal complaint as well as to show them the final bill that we get from Guardian.
